It's funny how life works out, ya know? Growing up in a small, Iowa town, I envisioned life on the move, where I would spend my days as an architect designing magnificent structures and revolutionizing where we lived our lives. Then came the teen years and the endearing title of "team braider" as I would spend bus rides giving the other girls the sleek hair we needed to win those big games.  It started to hit me that I really found fulfillment in giving confidence to those around me. It wasn't until I was in this industry that I realized I had found the perfect combination of creativity, design, and personal connection in "doing hair". And although I've experienced everything from weddings abroad, to New York Fashion Week, to facilitating weekend retreats every year for cancer survivors, I know there is still so much out there to discover in this industry.
